On November 11th, the CRIARTE consortium concluded its 2nd general meeting at the Higher Institute of Engineering of Porto (ISEP) . Marking an important milestone: with almost a third of the project completed, the team is moving from the analysis phase to the integration phase.
During the meeting, the system requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs) were validated , as well as a coherent architecture covering the entire technological ecosystem — from 3D perception and collaborative control to the digital twin that integrates data from humans, robots, and assets.
The first datasets and preliminary results were also shared, which will now underpin future decisions. The next step will be an integration sprint , uniting perception, control, augmented reality, fleet management, and digital twins into a unified and testable system.
The goal is clear: by mid- 2026 , to implement the first prototype of a multi-functional robotic machine to collaborate with human workers in the assembly of sandwich panels — a decisive step towards Construction 5.0 .
